Marie Guis
Marie has particular experience in complex integrated industrial projects representing both sponsors and financial institutions with a particular focus on the mining and infrastructure sectors. Marie has also developed a specific practice in advising clients in matters related to Ohada law (the common set of laws to 17 francophone African countries) and anti-corruption/sanction issues. Marie is qualified as French Avocat and registered with the New York Bar. Having practiced in both common law and civil law jurisdictions, Marie is used to acting as an interface between Anglo-Saxon clients and projects located in francophone countries.
Prior to founding Lincoln Legal Services, Marie practiced for a number of years in Paris with the Project team of Shearman & Sterling and Norton Rose Fulbright. Marie also worked for two years in the United States within the felony unit of the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office.
